Hands for Hope

Hands for Hope, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to employing, educating, and empowering women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. One of the greatest challenges for women who are homeless is having a stable job. Many of these women lack the education, skills, or self-esteem to earn a living wage. 

By purchasing these products you are not only gaining a creative piece made with care, but giving women the opportunity to provide for themselves, boost their self-esteem, and help to break the cycle of homelessness. Each piece includes a tag that shows you just who you are helping. The first series (001) were made by volunteers to help raise funds to start hiring, and test the production process.

Amistad supports Hand for Hope by offering their hand-made fair-trade products which are made in St. Augustine.  We give back to our town!

Hands for Hope is now part of the non-profit organization Three Grains of Rice, which will continue to support the mission of Hands for Hope, adding scholarships to provide education for women who are homeless or at risk in our community.
